Logan Canyon, Utah. Jardine Juniper. Discovered in 1923 by Maurice Lindford. Tree named (ca. 1925) for USU Alumni and then Secretary of Agriculture William M. Jardine. Photo taken May 6, 1924 by Dr. Henry C. Cowles. Professor George R. Hill and Botany students who measured tree and counted rings, estimating age at 2800 years. Black and white photograph (5 x 7 in) mounted on board.
